About Rock the Dock RWC
- Rock the Dock started as a few friends who began gathering, dancing and eventually hosting bands at the Port of Redwood City during early 2021. During the pandemic restrictions, these gatherings were a safe way to have fun and sustain/build community. These grassroots events eventually grew in popularity. Without any major sponsors, the founders used their own savings to fund the first three years of Rock the Dock events.
- With hopes of raising funding for future events, the founders formed a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Live Music Fostering Community. LMFC now organizes and hosts about 50 events per year. Events are at the RWC Port when weather permits and at indoor venues during the colder months.
- LMFC loves hosting these live music events but will now rely on YOU to sustain them. 90% of operating funds must be raised from the community. If you appreciate Rock the Dock and want it to continue, please make your tax deductible donation.
